Antique Weathervane & Lightning Rod. Old Car . Top Down

A very large weathervane, the arrow with the car mounted on the end measure 27 inches in length. The arrow is cast iron and other than one little streak of old white paint, it is unfinished and covered in old rust patina. The car is some sort of white metal, not aluminum because it is soldered to the copper shaft of the arrow, but something that doesn't rust. The lightning ball is old blue milk glass, is in good shape and measures 4 inches in diameter. As the piece is setting in the photos, it stands 56inches tall. The direction pointers are brass and were not original to this set, but I thought they went together with it well. This old Roadster convertible car weathervane would look equally well inside or out and could be shown off in a wide variety of ways, including on your roof and a weatrhervane.

Rare 5 pc. Shawnee Express, Steam Set w/ boxes.

Here is a very rare metal steam engine set called the Shawnee express by Thomas Industries. The set was made in 1949 and I still have the boxes for all but one piece. You can see the prices on this high end set were high even back in those days, but this is an all metal constructed steam set with Locomotive, tender, Passenger car, mail car and little red caboose. The caboose was added later and did not have a box when it was purchased, but the other four pieces are all from the original Thomas set. O gauge, so they will run on your Lionel tracks, but with a set this hard to come by, you might want to run them only on very special occasions. I just oiled them all up and ran them around the track a couple times and they work great. This is a real rare collectible set from a company that spared no expense when it came to making heavy gauge, quality metal trains.

Battleaxe Weathervane Topper, red glass arrow & a twist

Once again old JM has come up with a one of a kind weathervane display that is absolutely unique. The solid brass topper is made in the shape of an old time battle axe, but that is just the beginning of this materpiece. The cast iron arrow probably dates back to the 20's or before. it still has a good deal of its black paint intact. Next is an interesting beehive style ceramic lightning ball in an off-white shade. What really makes this piece not only unique, but also very useful for your upcoming Halloween party is the 22 inch by 15 inch solid brass serving tray that the display is mounted to. Want to decorate your Halloween table in style this year? Here's your chance.
26 inches tall total.

Vintage Brass & Copper Owl Weathervane + Display Base

I'm not sure if this owl was first created with the purpose of standing atop an old weathervane in mind, but he sure did take too the job quite nicely. This little owl measures 7 inches tall and stands atop a 3 inch white milkglass hobnail lightning ball and a full set of compass direction markers. The compass arms are made of brass and are 12 inches long. There was no usable stand with this cute little fellow, so JM decided to make one up special for him. The solid oak cabinet door, brass light mount and copper pipe are included with the owl, or you can swap them for a standard antique weathervane tripod which could be attached to a roof or set up in your favorite corner of the garden. Just let us know.
Total Height is 20 inches.

Vintage Hand made Windmill. Red & White Whirlygig.

Good looking old windmill wind spinner with a hand carved blade that really does catch the wind very well. I have the whirly gig mounted on a simple stand made from old tubing and a brass lamp plate, but you can use it in any situation you choose. Inside or out, this old windmill was made well and has a lot more years ahead of it. Windmill measures 8 1/2 inches tall by 3 1/2 wide at the base. The blades are almost 12 inches end to end and the bottom length of the support board is 13 1/2 inches.

Early 1800's Indian Arrowhead. found in S. Dakota

Here's another nice looking, well preserved arrowhead that was discovered in the foothills east of the Rockies in South Dakota. The arrowhead measures 2 1/2 inches long by 7/8 inches where it is widest and has the tip as well as both shoulders for strapping it onto an arrow shaft still in tact. A more crudely made piece than the others I have listed so far, but quite functional I am sure. Free shipping within Continental US

Museum Quality. West Texas Indian Arrowhead. C 1800's

ere is another fine looking, small sized stone arrowhead that would make a wonderful pendant around that special someone's neck. This piece was discovered in Western Texas and likely dates to the early 1800's. The stone was meticulously hand carved and still retains it's sharp pint and razor edge. This fine arrowhead measures 1 3/8 by 7/8 inches. Quite a good find.

Museum Quality. Arizona Indian Arrowhead. Serrated

This is likely the finest arrowhead I have ever had the good fortune to purchase. The gentleman who collected this arrowheads, along with a great many other pieces from long ago and far away, passed on several years ago. is wife asked that I not use his name, but I can say he was a very serious and respected student of Archeology. The razor sharp arrowhead is very small, but would have also been very deadly. The serrated edge would have sliced deep into its target and cut through flesh and bone quickly and cleanly. The arrowhead is a gorgeous glossy hand carved stone that measures 1 1/4 inches long and 5/8 inches wide. If you ever wanted an arrowhead pendant, this is one you take to your jeweler to have fitted with a gold loop and matched to a fine chain.

Small Shed or Barn Lantern. Amber Glass and painted tin

Here is a nice little hanging oil lamp that likely was used to light an outbuilding or a barn before electricity made it very far into the countryside. The lamp is of a very simple and practical design and features a four inch amber glass font that fits into the spring tension holder provided by the lamps twisted iron frame. The burner was made by Eagle and the lamp is in good shape, all set to fill and light once again.

Refine my stories with your skills to create our Novel

Like Brian Adams said, It was the summer of 69. We were young and restless, we needed to unwind. Those were the days. Anyone who grew up in the 60's knows exactly what I mean. Short shorts. Halter tops, no bras, or panties. No hangups or worries. Free love and rock music were the flags we flew. Hot girls. Hot cars. Hot pants. Hot music and long, long nights with the tin foil pipes and a couple cases of good brew. The Coop was our home. It was our world. Our place to hide out from the local police. If reading this story is one tenth as much fun as it was for me to live it, I promise you'll be pissing your pants by the end of chapter one.
If the possibility of co-authoring a novel in the tradition of 60's rock and roll sounds like something you could really sink your teeth into, maybe this is your chance. maybe its mine too.
Try re-writing a chapter or two of my first run through story. Expand on the scenes. Grow the characters. Add the things that come to your mind as you work on what came from mine. When you're finished, a professional editing company will view the two versions of the same chapter side by side and then give us their honest, strait-forward opinion about how well our two styles blend and whether it is worthwhile for both of us to consider making a commitment to finishing the entire story. The first chapter requires a good faith payment of $500.00. If you opt for a second, that chapter's cost drops to $250.00. Choose to continue and you'll get the next two chapters for $100.00 each. After that there won't be any doubt whether or not this project is right for you, but even if its not, how much did you spend to attend your latest creative writing classes? This is an experience few have ever had the opportunity to try and who knows where this could lead?

Refine my stories with your skills to create our Novel

Not everyone is the same. Some of us have the gift of being great story tellers, but lack a writer's ability to express our tales with words on paper.
Others have high intelligence and are able to bridge the gap between seeing a story in our mind's eye and capturing that mental image on paper, but struggle to find a story with enough passion to make them excited enough to write it down. Maybe this is just a dumb idea, but it's no scam. I can see and hear the stories inside my mind with such clarity they at times seem to be happening for real. Unfortunately I am not able to see my visions and at the same time, type or scribble them down onto paper. The two processes cancel each other out and I am left with fair to good tales that I know are this close to being made great.
If the possibility of co-authoring a novel in the horror genre sounds like something you could really sink your teeth into, maybe this is your chance. maybe its mine too.
Try re-writing a chapter or two of my first run through horror story. Expand on the scenes. Grow the characters. Add the things that come to your mind as you work on what came from mine. It had been stored away in a paper wrapping for 40 odd years and was just recently purchased at an estate sale.
